APPLE launched a new personal security guide that could help prevent IOS and Android users from being stalked by unknown AirTags.
The technology giant updated his "Personal Security Guide" on Tuesday with useful information on how IOS and Android users can protect themselves and their information.
"this user guide is a personal security resource for anyone who is concerned or experiences technology-enabled abuse, stalking or harassment," the company wrote on its website.
The guide includes a section on how people can verify whether they are carrying an unknown AirTag and what to do if they hear an AirTag alert or receive a notification.
The guide also includes instructions for Android users on how to search for a nearby AirTag using the Tracker detect app in Google play store.
"both AirTag and the find my network are designed with privacy in mind," the company wrote on its website.
'AirTag and find my network accessories have unique Bluetooth identifiers that change frequently. To discourage unwanted tracking, find my notifies you if you see an unknown AirTag or other find my accessory moving with you over time, "they added.
The IOS device has gotten into trouble after several reports emerged in recent months from people placing their AirTags on unsuspecting car owners and following them home.
One of the most recent reports came from a 28-year-old Baltimore woman, Jeana, who discovered that an Apple AirTag was connected to her car while she was with friends at a bar.
Police officers told KMTV in the past that Apple AirTags "really pose a danger if someone places them in their vehicle or personal belongings, such as a backpack or a bag."

Since then, the technology giant has been taking steps to ensure AirTags' privacy and security, an Apple representative told the Sun.
The representative also advised that users who feel insecure about an unknown AirTag should immediately communicate with the local police who can work with the company.
If an AirTag travels with an unregistered person, it will ring sometime after 8 to 24 hours.
It will also send a notification to the nearest iPhone (assuming it runs on IOS 14.5 or later).
If you find an unknown AirTag among your belongings, you can touch it with your phone to get the serial number and information on how to disable it.
