As.com Elon Musk has a new goal: launch a rocket into space a week

SpaceX broke all records after the company launched 31 rockets into orbit last year. However, the plans of its CEO, tycoon Elon Musk, go further.

Looking ahead to this 2022, the purpose of the one who is also the CEO of Tesla is to exceed that record to reach the launch of 52 rockets, that is, to put a rocket into orbit on a weekly basis. This was assured to 'CNBC' by Sandra Magnus, who works on NASA's Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel. "It's an ambitious goal. Both NASA and SpaceX need to ensure the right resources are used to safely keep pace."

On the other hand, Magnus explained that despite Musk's plans, the priority must go through guaranteeing the fulfillment of the missions set by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Due to the pace that a mission of this caliber would require, the cost of resources would increase exponentially.

New cost saving strategy

To carry out this work, one of the keys would go through the reuse of the ships. Through this strategy, Musk's aerospace company would achieve significant savings, so the investment would be less than 30 million dollars, while the launch price of these rockets would skyrocket to 90 million in the case of new rockets. , according to the aforementioned medium.

At the moment, SpaceX has already successfully launched three rockets, two of them from the Falcon 9 series, and another two from the same series are expected to be launched before the end of January. For the rest of the year, another of the models used are those known as 'Falcon Heavy'.

The Tesla Bot, his other great priority

However, Musk is not going to focus everything on SpaceX. Regarding Tesla, he has parked any plans related to automobiles and has focused his efforts on the design of the Tesla Bot, the humanoid robot that the North American company presented for the first time five months ago.

Among his main tasks, the first ones he will perform, are moving parts around the factory and troubleshooting supply chain issues. It is equipped with artificial intelligence and designed to perform common repetitive tasks. In addition, Tesla's intention is for it to be available at the end of the year.

Unless you change your mind, Tesla will not introduce any new vehicle models, although it will try to expand the business and open new plants in cities like Austin and Berlin.
