Recommendations to celebrate Halloween and prevent contagion of COVID-19

Taking into account that this weekend is celebrated the day of girls and boys with Halloween, the Ministry of Health reminds that they must check the sweets before consuming them, discard those that are not packaged or labeled. They must maintain their characteristic smell, color, flavor and texture, keeping their original packaging. If there is an excessive consumption of these foods or if they are in poor condition and you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, you should not self-medicate and it is recommended to go immediately to a health service.

It is recommended to ration sweets, to avoid excessive consumption. Prefer homemade preparations or fruits, instead of food with high levels of sugar and ultra-processed.

In the same way, prevention measures against COVID-19 must be maintained, such as physical distancing of one meter, frequent hand washing (or carrying antibacterial gel) and the use of face masks (covering the mouth and nose ), even while wearing the disguise. It should be remembered that the costume mask does not replace the mask.

It is recommended that any type of meeting should be held in spaces that allow adequate ventilation, avoid crowds and contact. Sharing food is not recommended.

When choosing a costume, avoid masks that obstruct vision and adequate breathing with a mask; buy the makeup on trusted sites and check its condition. If you are going to wear contact lenses, buy them at authorized sites for this type of item. Accessories with spikes, wands, swords, and knives should be avoided.
