The Civil Guard of Zamora has arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of robbery with force inside a bank in Mombuey. The detainee was intercepted when he was transporting in a vehicle the safe that had been stolen from a bank in the town of La Carballeda. Meanwhile, the other occupant is still on the run, after fleeing on foot at the time they were both going to be arrested. The Civil Guard established a wide deployment to try to locate it,
In the early morning of January 20, night from Wednesday to Thursday, around 4 in the morning, the Zamora Civil Guard received a call, alerting them to a possible robbery at the Camarzana de Tera bank. On the part of the Civil Guard, several teams are activated to assist and verify the denounced fact and after the arrival of the patrols they verify that, supposedly, they have tried to rob inside the branch, without succeeding.
A short time later and while this incident is being verified, the Civil Guard receives a call from 112 and from the alert and alarm system company of the bank, reporting that several individuals are robbing inside a bank in the town of Mombuey. In turn, several calls are received from residents of that town alerting them to what happened and providing important data for the efforts that were made later. Immediately alerted to the patrols that were covering the first incident, they set off towards the town of Mombuey. During the course of the road and shortly before reaching that town, the Civil Guard units come across the vehicles that are supposedly involved in the robbery and referred to in the received telephone calls, for which reason a pursuit begins to try to locate them. identification, the patrols not reaching the assaulted bank.

After carrying out several follow-ups both on the motorway and on the N-525, several patrols cornered one of the vehicles, the one that had the safe inside, doing so with the tailgate open, at the height of the town of Camarzana de Tera, near the soccer field. Finding themselves surrounded, its two occupants fled on foot and separately, starting a pursuit on foot by the civil guards who were in the place. Shortly after, civil guards from Camarzana and Villardeciervos, together with a traffic patrol from Puebla de Sanabria, ended up arresting a male of Spanish nationality, occupant of the vehicle, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of robbery with force, as well as proceeding to the recovery of the stolen safe. The second occupant manages to flee before reaching him.
Immediately, from the Services Operations Center, a wide deployment of Units was organized in that region to try to locate and identify the second of the occupants of the intercepted vehicle, which was ultimately unsuccessful.
Once the detainee, the vehicle and the recovered safe were transferred to the Camarzana de Tera barracks, steps and investigations began to clarify what had happened, incorporating personnel from the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Command of the Civil Guard of Zamora to carry out the same.

The proceedings and the detainee are placed at the disposal of the Benavente Investigating Court, which ordered the eludable entry into prison on bail of 5,000 euros.
