Critical thinking versus artificial intelligence - Information

This program is designed to challenge the way students think through conferences, videos, articles and books.The project of readings, debates and reflections is coordinated by Professor Julián Sánchez and has Bruno Teles, from the University of Oklahoma and director of Business Development at Black Oak Partners LLC, as speaker.In addition, their contributions are part of the subject of Creation and Business Innovation, which Professor Juan Fullana, director of Marketing Chocolates Value.

During ten sessions, students in the degrees of company, marketing and law, will analyze and discuss different essential aspects for their future professional future.First, it is approached to understand the failures of the current education system and how you can change the results of your education.

Then they will reflect on how to face the threat of conformism, so as not to accept reality as it is and the danger of being a follower and not leader.In that line, they will address how entrepreneurs think and act, taking into account that entrepreneurship is not only related to business, but is a way of thinking.

After these first sessions, but from a business point of view, we will work in different perspectives.First, to understand the foundations of how companies elaborate their strategy, how the economy works, how an industry is analyzed and how their organization can take advantage of the environment.

In the same way, in knowing and applying the blue ocean strategy, to make the competition irrelevant.Also, understand the company as a transformation tool and the concept of social entrepreneurship.That is, how to obtain profits at the same time that it has a positive impact on society.And finally, learn how to get the best out of people and how to guide them through inspiration.

According to Julián Sánchez, it is a different way of focusing texts or information in general to be presented to them, bringing out the critical thinking of students.«It is a different way of teaching, in which you want to squeeze the information a little further.The objective is that students do not stay on the facade, but enter inside.There is always something else behind each text, from each video, and getting that something else is what this course intends ».

The dynamics of each session consists of a double approach.First, students previously have a series of readings on the subject that is going to be discussed in each session, which are developed entirely in English.Professor Bruno Telles will introduce the subject, and will guide the discussion with and among the students to get the main ideas and awaken his critical spirit.Then, students will vision of an online English video during the session.And, as with reading, a discussion will be generated with and among the students so that they learn to "get" from the information provided."That additional point with a critical spirit that gives them added value as people," says Sánchez.
