Deloitte has announced the launch of Dimension10 Studio, a new area of its consulting services, focused on the metaverse and that will be in charge of helping its clients create experiences of what the consultancy has called "unlimited reality", and that they will combine Artificial Intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, Internet of Things architecture and 5G connectivity.
The team that forms part of this division, whose name refers to the tenth dimension, will be in charge of helping its clients to design, prototype and test virtual services, with a view to their release to the market. To do this, Deloitte is going to intensify, as TechRepublic points out, its collaboration with Nvidia, mainly using its Omniverse Enterprise platform for collaboration in 3D design and simulation of virtual worlds.

To do this, "the studio is made up of a multidisciplinary team of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning engineers, spatial designers, user experience designers, software architects, game developers, creators of virtual and augmented reality and strategists from our portfolios of the sector".

Furthermore, Yu pointed out that the success of an augmented reality experience depends on how well it generates the perception that it is both virtual and physical, as well as how well it bridges the natural world with digital augmentation. According to her, success in this field "will be measured by how we can apply this new technology on a large scale, and integrate these solutions into everything from unique leisure experiences to everyday ones, such as visiting friends or shopping." Also, success will vary by industry. Some companies will want exceptionality, while others will seek consistent operations.
As such, some of the specific metrics Deloitte uses to measure the success of a virtual world implementation include its launch time; the proportionality of the brand in growth, perception and associations; brand consistency; customer lifetime value; retention between platforms, consistency in the transition from one reality to another; engagement, reach, and impressions; its distinctive character; and the ability to understand and explain an experience.
Deloitte has long been working with virtual worlds in various contexts. Among them, in a virtual space for the consultant's employees, in which the company has already held some 50 events, which have been attended by thousands of people from various countries. Also on an augmented reality and artificial intelligence solution for an American energy company that will among other things deal with wildfire hazards. Apart from this, it has developed two virtual facilities, "the factory of the future" and the "warehouse of the future", for clients in the industry sector that integrate augmented reality, 5G and edge computing.
