Biblical Clinic Hospital opens the First Center for Innovation in Life Sciences of the Region

(CRHOY.com).- Costa Rica becomes the first country in the region to have a center for innovation in life sciences.The Biblical Clinic Hospital is a pioneer of this novel idea of the technological and biomedical revolution.

The Center for Innovation in Life Sciences (Life Science Center for Innovation), of the Biblical Clinical Hospital, will work as an incubator and accelerator of projects oriented in life sciences, with solutions of broad impact and high scope, for thelocal and international reality.

The objective of this initiative, at no cost to interested parties, is that the ideas or projects that are linked to disruptive technologies such as biotechnology, artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D printing, Internet of Medical Things (IOMT), sensors and drones can take frompaper.

The doctor of the Headquarters of Research and Teaching of the Biblical Clinic Hospital, and current director of the Center, the DR.José EnriqueCamacho Mora, emphasizes that national talent can be exploited correctly for the population.

“Basically this center is a platform where ideas that are related to the world of health can become a reality.Costa Rica is a country with a lot of potential with exceptional talent, but in many occasions these young people do not have that place to exploit those ideas and such creative minds;What we want to do is that these ideas have an optional impact on patients' life, ”explained the doctor.

A hybrid between technology and health make this unique center, since the amount of devices and new techniques make medical interventions more efficient and rapid.

“Technology and health, with innovation, have always gone hand in hand, today we live in the fourth industrial revolution, where we have an abundance of exponential technologies that transcendental the world of health.Our approach is that national talent use these disruptive technologies to generate new diagnostic treatments and methods that can transcend barriers that we generate in the health ecosystem, ”said the center's director.

For the center it is essential that people with great ideas approach, show their projects and can transcend in the medical field.

“There are already many national entrepreneurs who may require some of our center and we appeal to all those young people who are in health science careers or any person who has an idea that is appropriate with these technologies, so that they generate projects that can transcendthe barriers of health and generate an impact, ”said the DR.Camacho.

This idea is also shared by Dra.SabrinaAcosta, Center Research Coordinator, who highlights the fact of promoting and helping the talent to emerge.
