How and who can request the new aid of 100 euros per child from the Government?

The Government gives the green light to an extension of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) with a supplement of aid per child for families with low incomes that could reach up to 100 euros . As the Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, stated a few days ago, it will be aimed at "those parents who do not work and who are in worse conditions. What this advance marks is that a large part of these low-income families will receive a support".

What are the requirements to access the aid?

As detailed by the Minister of Inclusion and Social Security, José Luis Escrivá, at the press conference to present the budgets of his department, the objective is that this supplement, which will be included in a transactional amendment to the Minimum Vital Income Law (IMV ), is already in force at the beginning of next year.

These are the requirements that families must meet to access aid:

¿Cómo y quién puede solicitar la nueva ayuda de 100 euros por hijo del Gobierno?

The new child supplement will mean aid per child for low-income families that will range from 100 euros per month in the case of children under 3 years old, to 70 euros if they are between 3 and 6 years old and 50 euros from 6 years up to 18.

For example, Escrivá has used two cases to show his impact. A woman with two dependent children aged 2 and 5 and labor income of 200 euros per month, the new supplement will add 170 euros to the 681 euros that she receives from the IMV, raising the total amount to 851 euros. In the second case, a woman also with two children aged 1 and 4 years and labor income of 1,000 euros without being a beneficiary of the IMV, will receive those 170 euros.

In addition, you must be a resident in Spain, be in a situation of economic vulnerability (average monthly income and computable annual income for the previous year, at least 10 euros less than the monthly amount guaranteed by the corresponding minimum vital income according to the modality and number of members of the cohabitation unit), have applied for benefits and appear as a job applicant.
