Fraudulent registrations are sadly common: they call you with an offer, you say no and soon you discover that you have been registered with a new company or service.
Do not trust telephone offers: do not contract before having detailed and written information.
Don't settle for them calling: call that company's customer service number to confirm that the offer exists. Even if the contract is made over the phone, you have the right to have the document sent to you in writing.
