Psychological care phone

For people who need psychological care, there is a 24-hour hotline (900 112 003) managed by professionals specialized in clinical psychology and crisis, emergency and bereavement interventions.

This service was activated a few days after the confinement began with the aim of providing psychological support to citizens who were suffering from the loss of a loved one, anguish, anxiety, fear, loneliness, sadness, anger, uncertainty, among others, due to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Telephone assistance is still active and is staffed by 80 professionals.

Hotline for women victims of sexist violence

During the first weeks of confinement, a WhatsApp service (639 837 476) was also launched, which works 24 hours a day, seven days a week so that women victims of gender-based violence who are "forced to live with their aggressor" can receive social, legal, administrative or psychological care. You can also call 971 17 89 89, which also has a 24-hour service.

In fact, during the months that citizens had to isolate themselves at home, the Institut Balear de la Fonda (IBDONA) received a total of 1,104 calls and 66 messages, which is 21.5% more than in these same months of last year. More than half of the calls were from victims of sexist violence, of which 58.12% of the women attended suffered psychological violence and 41.99% physical.

Collaboration and solidarity network 'Junts'

During that time, a solidarity channel for citizen collaboration called 'Junts' was set up in which health material or money can be donated, neighborhood collaboration and volunteering can be carried out. This network, managed by the Conselleria d'Afers Socials i Esports, has set up a telephone number (971 177 200) and an email (xarxajunts@caib.es) to receive questions and offers.
