Radio announcers are now artificial intelligence robots

Many jobs are becoming automated and professions like radio broadcasting are being replaced by artificial intelligence robots.

In the past, when an announcer spent some time on the radio, when he retired, his voice would also go away. Now artificial intelligence robots aim to emulate certain voices of radio announcers.

Andy Chanley, host of California public radio station 88.5 KCSN, has been a radio host for more than 32 years. After such a long time, artificial intelligence technology will make his voice live simultaneously in many places.

Artificial intelligence startup WellSaid Labs says it has perfected the technology to create more than 50 human-voiced avatars. Such is the case with ANDY, where the producer only needs to write text to create the narration.

How does ANDY work?

ANDY is a robot that will be integrated into an artificial intelligence platform that automates music production. It's not just about a playlist, it's about creating the whole experience of a host, presenting the songs and talking to each other.

AI continues to refine human processes and the next step is to automate human-created text, which would take this development to the next level.

Once the voice avatars are created, WellSaid manages the business deals according to the voice owner's requests.

WellSaid's voice avatars are doing more than presenter work, they are used in business training material and even for reading audiobooks.
