Today it is very common for users of streaming content platforms such as Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video to share their account password with their family, partner or certain close friends. However, this situation is not viewed favorably by the owners of these platforms, since it represents a loss of income for their services.
For this reason, Netflix has already made it clear that it plans to take action to put an end to this practice. Despite the fact that the restriction on the limit of screens that an account can use simultaneously is already a measure to control the number of people who use an account, the streaming platform revealed that it is preparing more severe actions.
According to the international press, the service is developing a function designed to prevent a person who does not live with the user from accessing their account and viewing the contents of the platform. This new function would limit the same account being lent to several people, based on a system that generates warning notifications.
