The region of O Salnés has positioned itself as one of the favorite destinations for many tourists, who come to this corner of the Rías Baixas attracted by a most stable climate, incredible sea and mountain landscapes, and the best leisure, gastronomy and wine tourism offers. Throughout the region, there are a multitude of rural houses and most unique accommodations, ideal for those groups of friends or families who love to travel together. In this list, we propose 12 very different options, from Sanxenxo to Vilagarcía de Arousa, to live a unique experience.

Lavaxeira Beach House (O Grove)

Located a few meters from Lavaxeira beach, on the north side of the O Grove peninsula, this cozy and renovated apartment (140 square meters) has all the necessary comforts to accommodate up to six guests inside, for a minimum of two nights. With privileged views of the sea, the house has 3 bedrooms, a garden area with barbecue and hot tub, Wi-Fi and television connection, free private parking, and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Aldea Bordóns (Sanxenxo)

This unique rural house in Sanxenxo is located just 5 minutes from the town center, on one of the slopes of the Bordóns parish that overlooks the coast and the Pontevedra estuary. The interior of the Aldea Bordóns is made up of three independent houses, with colorful doors and windows and a decoration that respects the maritime and rural Galician canons. Altogether, the houses have up to six cozy double rooms with all the comforts: Casa do Leiro is the oldest building, has views of the sea and is ideal for traveling with pets; Casa Carmen, for its part, is the most recent building and is surrounded by an imposing balcony that allows you to enjoy the natural environment and enviable panoramic views; Casa dos Avós has belonged to the owner's family for decades and retains its initial structure, it has two rooms (one with sea views) with bathroom and hydromassage bathtub.

Albarari Sanxenxo

Among the vineyards of the Adega Buezas in Nantes, is one of the most unique and charming accommodations in all of Sanxenxo: Glamping Albarari. Sleeping in bubbles with a roof of stars is possible in this corner of the Rías Baixas, where they have formed a constellation with up to 5 habitable bubbles, each with a private garden and chill out area. The five domes are fully equipped with double beds and canopy, designer bathrooms, amenities, minibar, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and even a telescope with a guide to enjoy a very special astronomical experience. MadeinFofan (Meis)

In the place of Fofán (Meis), the rural universe of Salnés found its twist through a particular “agrochic house” project, under the MadeinFofan signature. This country house transformed its appearance to house an original tourist accommodation where vegan breakfasts and brunches (from organic preparations) are tasted inside the largest bottle of albariño in the world, the living room is located inside a traditional granary renovated and animals are totally welcome. The price of the accommodation varies according to the season, but the base cost per day is 80 euros for two people. The agrochic brunch experience, as well as other activities in the area, can be reserved without having to stay at the establishment, requesting the information through the mail or the web.

Da Muiñeira Rural House (Cambados)

Charming cottages and accommodation in the Salnés region

This cozy and historic rural house in Cambados dates from no less than the year 1800, although it has currently been renovated to offer its guests all the comforts. In the past, the Casa da Muiñeira was an important construction that was the epicenter of milling in the entire area. Now, the interior of the building has 5 double rooms (all of them with bathroom) and one adapted for the disabled. One of the spaces is also equipped with a hydromassage cabin and sauna. The front patio is equipped with garden furniture, an orchard with more than 2,000 square meters of green areas, with two mills on both sides. Casa Do Ferreiro (Cambados)

This charming rural villa located in the capital of Albariño wine par excellence is the result of the reform of a family home with more than 150 years of history. The building, known as Casa do Ferreiro, takes its name from housing the home of a generation of blacksmiths. This classic and cozy style rural house has up to six double rooms (10 beds in total), equipped with television, bathrooms, air conditioning and other daily basics. In addition, it has a full kitchen, living room, dining room and exterior with pool, barbecue, gazebo and parking with capacity for three cars. Casal de Folgueiras (Meis)

Surrounded by forests and vineyards in the village of Talide (Meis), this architectural complex ―formed by the buildings and the granary― has remained practically intact since 1680 The environment is divided into three buildings: Quinteiro, Muiño and Lagar. We traveled to the Council of Ribadumia to discover a unique holiday home in the purest Canadian style: A casa da Pereira. Its interior is decorated with Nordic and industrial overtones, the harmony of which forms a most welcoming and bright space. The house has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two fully equipped double beds. In addition, they have a full kitchen inside, living-dining room and Wi-Fi connection. A casa da Pereira offers other services to the elderly, such as a “full fridge” (they do the shopping for you) or childcare, among others. Quinta de San Amaro (Meaño)

In the heart of O Salnés, stands one of the busiest and most famous rural accommodations in the entire region: the Quinta de San Amaro. Located in a unique natural environment, in an isolated area between vineyards and views of the entire valley, this complex opened its doors in 2007 with the aim of offering the best hotel and gastronomic services (they have their own restaurant) in the area. Currently the space has a reception, the main building where the rooms are located, and the lounge, located in the old barn. This rural hotel has about 14 rooms, all of them different and equipped with a private bathroom. Villa las Sinas (Vilanova de Arousa)

Located on the beachfront, Villa las Sinas has a total of about 2,000 square meters of land: three floors with five rooms and four bathrooms, two kitchens and two living rooms, and a cellar/garage with capacity for four cars. Pazo O Rial (Vilagarcía de Arousa)

In the limits of the municipality of Vilagarcía de Arousa, a large number of manor houses are still preserved today, such as the Pazo O Rial, built in 1696 , whose image represents a classic Baroque style, with a rectangular central body flanked by two imposing towers. The exterior is made up of a series of typical elements of Galician pazos, such as an old chapel, a stone cross, the hórreo and the dovecote. Currently, the space houses a charming four-star hotel with a swimming pool and some 60 rooms, equipped with their own bathroom, heating, television, telephone, minibar and safe.
