La Nación La SET reported an increase in total collection of 15.7% at the end of 2021

The Undersecretary of State for Taxation (SET) reported that the total accumulated collection (cash plus tax credits) at the end of 2021, which was G. 16.6 trillion, exceeded in the order of 15.7 % to the results obtained in 2020 (14.3 billion) and 9.5% compared to 2019.

In the month of December, the SET collected G. 1,005 billion (148 million dollars) in cash and G. 50,224 million (7 million dollars) in compensation with tax credits, reaching the sum of G. 1,055 billion ( 155 million dollars).

It is important to note that, in terms of accumulated cash collection, at the end of December the SET presents a positive year-on-year variation of 11% compared to 2020 and a positive variation of 11.4% above 2019.

Additionally, it can be noted that, despite the current pandemic situation, a positive growth in collection is maintained, which represents significant data for the financing of State commitments.

Meanwhile, with the accumulated collection at the end of the fiscal year of 2021, it is shown that the contribution of VAT, IRP, IRE and IDU, explain to a greater extent the positive interannual variation in terms of accumulated collection (cash plus tax credits ), which reached G. 16.6 trillion, with VAT being the largest contributor with 50.8% of the total, while the IRE generated 34.9% of the collection.

The Deputy Minister of Taxation, Óscar Orué, said that 2021 had a "quite positive" collection behavior and that the economic recovery this year was faster than expected, a fact that occurred through the reduction of taxes for certain sectors, the detection of cases of evasion and the use of false invoices, among other fiscal measures.
