The Board approves the fourth edition of these awards that recognize the work of people and entities in favor of inclusion

The Ministry of Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation has ruled the fourth edition of the Andalucía + Social 2021 Awards, which recognize the work of people and entities in favor of inclusion, among whose winners are the Andalusian Paralympic athletes from Tokyo , who have been awarded the Honorable Mention; the La Caixa Foundation, the Confederation of Businessmen of Andalusia (CEA), the singer-songwriter María Peláe and the soccer player Joaquín Sánchez.

In addition, the Andalusian LaLiga Genuine football teams --Córdoba CF, Granada CF, Sevilla FC, Real Betis, Cádiz CF, Fundación Málaga CF and UD Almería-- have also received regional awards; the company Agise SL, the Andalusian Network for the Fight against Poverty and Social Exclusion Andalusia (EAPN-A), the Federation of Andalusian Organizations for the Elderly (FOAM), the Cantajuegos group, which shares an award with Miguel Poveda, and the social researcher Yolanda de la Fuente, as reported by the Ministry this Sunday in a note in which it specifies that the awards will be delivered at a gala on February 15 at the Central Theater in Seville.

The Andalusian Paralympic athletes who have participated in the Tokyo Games and who will receive the Honorable Mention of the Andalucía + Social Awards are Sara Fernández, Almudena Montiel, Gabriela Michell Navarro, Lourdes Ortega, Alejandro and Pablo Zarzuela, Adolfo Bellido, Alfonso Cabello, Luis Miguel García-Marquina, Pablo Jaramillo, Antonio Jesús Martín, Miguel Ángel Martínez, Sebastián Rodríguez, David Sánchez, Javier Reja, José Manuel Ruiz, Álvaro Valera and Jairo Ruiz.

All of them have been valued "their achievements, the commitment and effort shown and being a reference for other people with disabilities, promoting the practice of sports from a positive and realistic vision".

The Andalucía + Social Award for the best practices linked to the Sustainable Development Goals falls to the Andalusian Confederation of Entrepreneurs. In 2018, its president, Javier González Lara, proposed to position the entity in achieving compliance with the SDGs as an ethical and moral obligation, in addition to assuming an evolution acquired by sustainability through the economic, environmental and social dimension. Since then, the CEA has carried out numerous activities, including the Business Observatory for the Achievement of the 2030 Agenda.

The La Caixa Foundation will collect one of the Andalucía + Social Awards for its work in promoting citizen participation through its volunteer program created in 2005. With this, according to the Junta, it has been an "example and inspiration for other entities, giving value to time and for connecting with the social reality of the most vulnerable people and giving support to social entities whose work cannot be rewarded with material resources".

The prize for the work for the promotion of Lgtbi people and their families will be collected by the singer-songwriter from Malaga, María Peláe, who, with a career of more than twelve years dedicated to music, "has always been committed to social issues" . María has used her lyrics to "normalize things that should already be normal" in her words and, with almost three million views on YouTube, has reflected the reality of female homosexuality or bisexuality, as well as the freedom and sexual diversity of people, as assessed by the Ministry directed by Rocío Ruiz.

The Andaluna Child Care Awards modality has been awarded jointly to the Cantajuegos group, the soccer player Joaquín Sánchez and the singer Miguel Poveda for their participation in the Family Fostering campaign in Andalusia 'Supervaliente seeks a home', whose objective is to find families for the more than 3,500 children who live in protection centers.

The Andalusian teams of LaLiga Genuine Santander will receive the Andalucía + Social Award for good practices in caring for people with disabilities for their participation in this integrating initiative of social responsibility and pioneer in the world that consists of the creation of a league football team made up of teams made up of people with intellectual disabilities. This competition began in the 2017/2018 season, so this is the fourth season that it has been held, with the participation of more than 1,000 players from 42 teams.

The award for good practices in care for the elderly has gone to the Federation of Andalusian Organizations for the Elderly (FOAM), a non-governmental entity with more than 30 years of experience "defending the right to quality a dignified life for the elderly in Andalusia", advising public and private entities, "promoting solidarity, social integration and the real and effective participation of this sector of the population".

In the modality of good practices in caring for people at risk or in a situation of social exclusion, the Andalusian Network for the Fight against Poverty and Social Exclusion in Andalusia (EAPN-A) collects the Andalusia + Social Award. This entity has more than 20 years of experience in the third sector and is made up of more than 50 social entities "with a proven track record and technical solvency." At present, EAPN-A is developing an extraordinary Program of accommodation and social integration of homeless people through a grant of almost three million euros from the Ministry of Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation.

Agise SL (Andaluza de Gestión de Servicios Especializados) will receive the award in the modality that recognizes the work for the eradication of gender violence thanks to the development of the Covid Warrios project that was born from the Comprehensive Service of Care and Reception for Victims of Gender Violence of the Andalusian Women's Institute. This web space arises as an initiative to care for and participate in foster minors "in order for them to understand, in a didactic way, the situation they were experiencing at the beginning of the pandemic and to learn the protection measures and protocols against Covid -19".

Finally, for the first time, the Andalucía + Social Prize is awarded in the category of Research and Innovation in Social Services, which falls to Yolanda de la Fuente. Professor of Social Work and Social Services at the University of Jaén, she is an international consultant for the World Bank, an expert in Universal Accessibility and Design for all people, as well as director of the 'Gender, Dependency and Social Exclusion' research group. De la Fuente has collaborated in the elaboration of the Ethics Strategy of the Social Services of Andalusia, among other projects with the Junta de Andalucía.

PROVINCIAL AWARDS

In addition to the regional awards in the different categories, the Andalucía + Social Awards have granted particular distinctions in each of the provinces. Thus, in Almería the Music for All Foundation has been awarded; in Cádiz, to the Direct Red Association; in Córdoba, to the Women in Conflict Zone Association, while, in Granada, the jury has ruled in favor of the 'Stop Rumors' initiative, launched in 2014 by the Andalusia Federation Welcomes.

The Cepaim Foundation has been recognized in the province of Huelva, while in Jaén the provincial prize has been awarded to the Don Bosco Salesianos Social Foundation. In Malaga, the International Association Telephone of Hope has been the recognized entity, while, in Seville, the prize has been awarded to the family made up of Elvira María Romero, José Antonio Martín and their two children aged 15 and 13, who , since 2018, they carry out emergency and temporary foster care for minors.
