León.- The Federal Government published the decree to legalize cars known as "chocolates" in states of the Mexican Republic, where Guanajuato was left out.
On this occasion, feasibility was given for the regularization of Michoacán, Durango, Nayarit, Sonora, Nuevo León, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Tamaulipas, Chihuahua and Coahuila.
Cars entering the country from the United States or Canada are colloquially known as "chocolates" in Mexico.
The document published in the Official Gazette of the Federation indicates some aspects for which said viability is granted in the mentioned states.

In addition, it adds that it is estimated that approximately two million vehicles of foreign origin circulate irregularly in the country and, for their registration in the Public Vehicle Registry, the support of the federal authorities, of the states, is required.

"The purpose of this Decree is to promote the regularization of used vehicles of foreign origin that are in the territory of the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Durango, Michoacán de Ocampo, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Sonora and Tamaulipas, and do not have the document that certifies their legal stay in the country, through the administrative facilities and stimuli provided therein.

For this reason, he called on Guanajuato citizens who have a vehicle of foreign origin to wait for the State to be included in the regularization decree.
