There are many applications to support homework, a clear example is Microsoft's own for office automation and even for solving mathematical problems. However, without a doubt, an app of this type directly developed by Google and that makes use of its artificial intelligence is striking.
Socratic is not a new app, it was launched in 2017, but the novelty is that it was recently updated and now allows its use in Spanish, so that a larger percentage of people can use it and take advantage of the full potential of technology of Google.
Socratic is available in Mexico, with the update to the Spanish language, in the Play Store. Its operation is very simple, all you have to do is take a picture of the task so that the artificial intelligence automatically detects the type of issue and offers possible solutions, information and more details about it.
According to Google, Socratic can help with middle school, high school, and college class topics because it "includes most high school and high school subjects," including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, physics, history, and literature, and the company says more will be included in the future.
Socratic's interface is very simple. As soon as we enter we will have the camera activated to take pictures, while in the upper left corner we will be able to access a simple menu in which we can test examples of how it works. It is a matter of choosing only one question or problem and after its analysis, the artificial intelligence will show a "top match", in addition to other possible result options that we can also review.
It is important to mention that to use the application you need an Internet connection to search for solutions, and that the options offered range from detailed explanations, step-by-step examples, and even videos, depending on the issue.
