Seven years and seven months' imprisonment is the penalty the prosecution requests for Mohamed B. for the injuries he caused to the owner of a coffee shop on Duchess Villahermosa Street to steal the money and those he inflicted on a police officer when he was going to arrest him.
The accused, accompanied by a minor, entered the bar, run by a Chinese citizen, and violently approached him to serve them drinks. As the waiter refused, Mohamed B. jumped the bar, grabbed him by the neck and punched him hard in the face. Then he threw different objects at him, like cans or napkins. The minor also joined the assault and the adult took the opportunity to search the shelves of the bar and appropriate two bags containing 600 euros and escaped.
A patrol tracked Mohamed B. shortly after, and he, having secretly thrown one of the bags, approached the officers, started bracing and confronted one of them, causing injuries that took him 15 days to heal.
Meanwhile, the owner of the bar suffered various injuries to the head and face, requiring stitches and staples, and multiple bruises that took 60 days to heal. In addition, pain in the spine and scars have been left as sequelae.
For the Office of the Public Prosecutor, these acts constitute a crime of robbery with violence, for which he is asked for five years' imprisonment, since the accused is a repeat offender. They also constitute a crime of serious injury to the Chinese citizen, for which he requests one year and seven months' imprisonment.
