THE COUNTRY | Manizales*
Three men were captured by the Police accused of robbing an apartment in Manizales.
They reportedly arrived at the victim's apartment in the El Sol neighborhood showing interest in buying it. One of them, apparently, became the one who spoke on the phone and would have walked to the kitchen, where he gagged the employee and threatened her with a knife.
Another pointed a firearm at the owner, insulted her, tied her up and took her to a studio where he demanded that she hand over the money she had, for which she agreed and gave him $13 million that she had saved.
The man who was allegedly with the employee left her alone and went to check other rooms, so she took advantage of it, untied herself and fled in search of help.
According to inquiries, the men followed her, but the employee managed to hide in an adjoining apartment where police were called.
When they went out to a car that was waiting for them, the police captured them. In addition, they managed to seize a traumatic weapon, the money they had stolen, the victim's bag, and clamps with which they tied them up.
The three subjects must answer for the crimes of simple kidnapping in a heterogeneous contest with qualified and aggravated theft. A guarantee control judge sheltered them with an intramural security measure in the La Blanca prison in Manizales (Caldas).
