The Provincial Directorate of Justice (DPJ) of Havana has reported on the different points where the criminal record can be requested.

According to Tribuna de la Havana, in all municipalities in the capital of Cuba it is possible to request the certification of criminal records.

Request criminal record in Havana

Explains Mr. Yilian Carballo Hernández, who since 2019 operates several points within the municipal institutions belonging to the Provincial Directorate of Justice –DPJ- of Havana, where you can also obtain acts of the last will and declaration of heirs.

"With the authorization of the points, an approach to the service to the user's residence is sought, in order to reduce the response time of the procedure," he says.

In the case of the online road, it offers the opportunity to the person interested in requesting the document and then collecting it “in the place where you have indicated, at the corresponding point according to its residence territory”.

In this sense, the specialist clarified that "the certifications issued" in the DPJ offices "are only for use within the national territory".

That is, if you want the criminal record of Cuba for use abroad, you should know that this procedure is carried out exclusively through international legal consultants.

To request the criminal record at the different points enabled in Havana (we list them at the end of the work), you should know that they open from Monday to Friday, during working hours.

Those interested must present the identity card and will not be able to request it through third parties.

Criminal record certification requires a timbre label with the value of 5 CUP and can be collected at 72 hours.

On what sanctions constitute a criminal record, Carballo Hernández detailed to Tribuna that “according to article 66 of the Criminal Code, those imposed in a firm judgment by the popular courts” are those imposed by popular courts ”.

"The warning and fines below 200 installments are excepted, as well as the sanctions imposed by the military courts for non -military crimes".

In addition, they constitute sanctions "those imposed by military courts for military crimes when expressly provided in the judgment itself, and the sanctions applied to Cuban citizens by foreign courts in the cases and the conditions established in the regulations".
